Bullying has become a huge problem as of late, mainly because of how long the issue of bullying has been swept under the rug. 1-in-4 students experience bullying during the school year and up to 43 percent of students experience cyberbullying during their lifetime.

The New York Jets have generously donated over $310,000 to STOMP Out Bullying since the inception of our partnership in 2015 and created a public service announcement that features Jets players on the stadium video boards. The Jets also continue their Upstander of the Week program, that features a student that has helped another person from being bullied.

Every year the Jets and STOMP Out Bullying visit schools to recognize Upstanders, as well as to create a greater awareness,

This spring, we visited:

Carteret Middle School, New Jersey with Jets Hall of Famer Tony Richardson
Edison Intermediate School in New Jersey with Jets player Lorenze Mauldin
Slocum Skewes School in New Jersey with Jets Player Jonotthon Harrison

Recognizing these wonderful student Upstanders is an important way to show students that they are doing good by standing up for others, as well as setting an example for other students.
